Web App Design for Microfocus: Streamlining Complex Data Management

During my time at Microfocus, I had the opportunity to work on web app designs that simplified complex data structures and provided users with a clear and interactive interface. This particular web app showcases a clean, functional, and user-focused design tailored for advanced data management tasks.

Design Highlights

1. Data Visualization

  • Interactive Topology Map: The app visually represents complex relationships and hierarchies, allowing users to easily explore and understand interconnected data.
  • Node and Connection Clarity: Each node and its connections are designed with clear labeling, ensuring users can quickly grasp relationships at a glance.

2. User-Friendly Interface

  • Tabbed Navigation: Key sections such as “Properties,” “Impact Simulation,” and “Get Related” are organized into tabs, making it simple to switch between different aspects of the data.
  • Filter Panel: A collapsible filter panel enables users to refine results, focusing on specific data points like IP addresses, processes, or services.

3. Modern UI Aesthetic

  • Color Coding: Used subtle colors for different data types and highlighted important nodes for better visualization without overwhelming the user.
